Run With the Kittens

Run With the Kittens have logged a lot of time on stage together and it shows. Their residency at Toronto’s Cameron House is about to enter its 13th year. They’ve toured across Canada, and as far as Holland, playing biker festivals, art shows, mental institutions, a few Legions, dozens of festivals and hundreds of bars. Sometimes comparisons to Beck or Ween or maybe the Pixies pop up from time to time, but they tend to wear off within a few songs. The same “modern” sound and approach is there, though. It’s a mash up of 20th century popular music. Bossa Nova, surf, disco, hip-hop, children’s songs, lounge jazz and grooving instrumentals all appear in a usual Run With The Kittens set.

Countless Numbers

The song is key – and words matter. Simple rules followed by Countless Numbers.

KÄSE is a three piece Piano Rock band based in Ottawa Ontario. The smorgasbord known as KÄSE will treat audiences to jazz-inspired solos, peppered in between hard rock riffs and juicy three-part vocal harmonies. They like to bring high energy to all situations that they attend, groove to no end, and yet there still is a soft sentimental side that can be coaxed out when the mood is just right (or when the bassist is too tired to dance). Make sure you pack your dancing shoes, because KÄSE is one high energy, Piano Rockin,’ smooth talkin,’ kidney sockin,’ honk a tonkin,’ bass chopin,’ pedal poppin’ dance band you won’t want to miss!

Come out for some great times and tunes.
